Depends on what type of insect you are talking about.

There is some ambiguity when you describe an insect as moving fast. Do you mean fast relative to the size o

Another solution, besides the ones already posted, is to change the verb. Many (though by no means all) insects scuttle, and then you use an appropriate adverb to modify the scuttling.
