In other senses as prepositions and conjunctions "until" and "till" pretty much overlap.

According to Merriam-Webster, [url="http://www.m-w.com/cgi-bin/dictionary?hdwd=until&listword=until&book=Dictionary&jump=until%5B1%2Cpreposition%5D&list=until%5B1%2Cpreposition%5D%3D1193542%3Buntil%5B2

Although I could get it wrong so it's worth reading those dictionary articles by yourself anyway.

In my experience, "till" is a colourful and conversational word ("Till we meet again"), and "until" is a more formal word of the same meaning.

I would never write "till" in a report, essay, or the like; I'd use "until".

Just my thoughts. Some Englanders may disagree, as the word seems more popular over there.
