Until today, a present time marker?

Hi teachers,
Can I consider 'until today' a present time marker in the following present perfect sentence?
Robert has left the house on time until today.

Thanks in advance.

You can think of it as the general present. However, if he left late this morning and you are speaking in the afternoon, it's not really 'present moment'.
