'Until Today'

Hi,

'Until today, we have not received the payment.'

Did I used that word correctly? Are there any other words which mean 'From the date previously expected date to the current date'?

Thank you.

Your version does not indicate any 'previously expected date', and neither do my paraphrases: As of today, we have received no payment . To date, we have not received payment.
