until now or up to now

Hi all,

I am new here and I have got a question. I hope that it seems not stupid or dull...

Is there any difference between the use of "until now" or "up to now"? Or is the meaning quite the same?

i.e., I show you what has been done until now
or I show you what has been done up to now

Thanks a lot

  • Perhaps the second one is less formal.
