Until he comes back

1) We will make a few changes while he is away.
2) We will make a few changes until he comes back.

Which of the above imply that we will revert back to normal when he comes back.

I don't see such implication in '1', although the sentence does not tell us that that will not be the case either.
The changes will be made while he is away. It is not clear what will happen when he comes back.
In '2' it is clear that thing will go back to where they were when he comes back.
