Until?

Hi! everyone.I am entangled by the use of "until" sometimes I see"not" in the sentence after until and sometimes with out "not"? I want to know, whether I use not in the sentence after until or not? Does "un-til" mean "not till"?
1-Situation (Police officer to a trouble maker) "I won't let you go until I have had my information"
2-Situation (Army has taken the house in custody, now a general is in the house saying this to one of the house member) Until any information comes No phone call or any contact can be made with the outside world because house is under martial law.
I wonder, if "until" has not in it or not.How about if I replace the coloured phrases with "until I haven't had" in the 1st and "until no information comes" in the 2nd?

Does "un-til" mean "not till"?-- No, not at all. Here is the Online Etymology Dictionary entry:

Until: 1200, from O.N. und "as far as, up to" (related to O.E. end) + till "until, up to"

1- "I won't let you go until I have gotten my information." -- Fine.
2- "Until any information comes, no phone call or any contact can be made

Thanks! Sir.
When do we use"not" after until?

As above, I suppose: when an action begins afterwards.

Mister MicawberI will scream until you leave
What is the difference between the above and this one" I will scream until you don't leave.

I will scream until you don't leave.-- This makes no sense. We cannot do something until something else does not occur.

I am very sorry to bother you again Sir.
Could you give me an example sentence in which you use "not" after until?
0
I cannot. It is illogical; it is not a possible action.

The judge was being honest up until not allowing character witnesses.

Nice try, Anon. I don't think that qualifies as a non-action, though. It is equivalent to:

The judge was being honest up until barring character witnesses.
