I would like to ask you if all of these sentences are possible.
I slept until he came.
I was sleeping until he came.
I had been sleeping until he came.

All of those are possible. I think it is easier to tell if you add more to the sentences to put them in more of a context. I slept until he came, and then we began our journey.

Yes, although something needs to follow it either in that sentence or a subsequent one, e.g.

I had slept until he came, but then I had to get up and prepare food for him after his long journey.

Unless you have something following it in the time sequence, there is no need for past perfect tense; the simple past would do, otherwise.
