Until...

hi!i'm new in the forum and i need your help!

i would like to ask if the sentence "i'll wait there until someone picks me up" is correct
or i could say "i'll wait until someone is going to pick me up"

There are some languages (I don't know if Greek is one of them or not) that use the future, or even possibly the subjunctive, when talking about a future action that is introduced by certain conjunctions. We just don't do that in English.

Thank you very much!Yes,in greek we use future tenses in this way and it can be confusing in english but i will get used to it!

Your 2nd sentence, would not be usable. It means that you are saying you will wait until someone has decided to pick you up, ie they are going to pick you up, but they could be, at that point, 50 kilometres away, when they know they are going to pick you up. So that means you would have to wait even longer from that time, from the time that they decide to go to pick you up.
