until

Ma'am, I'm going to have to ask you disconnect your call until the plane has reached a cruising altitude.

Is this sentence logical?

I have a feeling that the clause before 'until' must be stative. For example,

Stay home until I'm back

Do not run until he runs.

Please let me know if my explanation is unclear.

Thanks in advance!

Yes, it's fine, but I'd prefer: Ma'am, I'm going to have to ask you to disconnect your call until the plane has reached a cruising altitude. and better: Ma'am, please shut off/down your cellular until the plane has reached a cruising altitude. Because the point is not to terminate a call, but to cease any interference from the phone.
