Unsighted

Hello

I'd like to ask you if the word "unsighted" meaning "blind" is commonly used. If not, what other word can I use to refer to a blind person?

Hi

If a person has no sight at all, it will probably be OK to say 'blind'. It may not help at all to make up a new way of saying it

If a person has some sight but they are impaired, it may be OK to say 'visually impaired'or 'partially sighted'

Here's the UK view - you have to take into account what the person says ...
