unsecured to venture

Like most people, I felt unsecured to venture into a completely different field at first. However, I told myself if I want to succeed in life, I need to take some risk. So I went ahead. With a bit of luck and a lot of hardword, I've got to where I'm today. Looking back, had I not made the move, I would still be an average 9 to 5 employee.

Are there any mistakes?
Thanks.

Thank you, MH and RayH.
RayH, I have one more question. If your computer doesn't have an antivirus installed, do you say insecured or unsecured?
