unprofitable business

What do you call a business which is going down hill and has been loosing money for quite some time in one compound word? Unprofitable business is too mild and vague. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

A losing proposition, a financial blackhole or in a sarcastic way, a "tax write-off".

HAHAH... that's funny. Too bad I can't use 'tax write off' in the formal letter that I'm writing. Uncle Sam would come after me.
