Unpaid community services

Some people believe that unpaid community services should be a compulsory part of high school programs. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

It is a controversial issue whether high school students should take part in community services without payment compulsorily or not. From my perspective, I strongly believe that unpaid social services should be an essential part of high school curricular.

To begin with, teenagers especially high school students benefit from unpaid social services. Firstly, practical experience is precious to students’ future careers. Prior to their life-long profession, these unpaid community services lay a platform for students to take their careers into account. For instance, a student teaching sports to younger children has a chance to realize whether being a coach is appropriate to her or not. Secondly, unpaid community services play a crucial part in university application as well as career application. Social services in study programs do not bring about finance but beyond material prospects.

In addition to personal advantages, high school students will be aware of their responsibilities to the community if unpaid social work becomes a part of the curricular. Take working for a charity as an excellent example, high school students gradually recognize disable cases in society and the fortune they possess. With sympathy among humans, this young generation is aware of flourishing themselves and the whole globe. As a result, they improve their knowledge and skills even when they are in high schools by the virtue of their duties. Moreover, they are more responsible for supporting unlucky cases such as disabled people and the poor.

In conclusion, unpaid community services are beneficial to both person future of high school students and universal intention. I highly recommend that unpaid social work should be a compulsory part of high school programs.
