Excessive packaging is the trigger of serious environmental pollution. There are many reasons why there is so much waste packaging. And I will attempt to some reason keys for this.

The first and foremost is that nowadays there are plenty of type products have bought on the market. Customers just choose goods that could appeal them. Therefore, manufacturers have to create more and more marks or logo, especially unnecessary layers of covering.

Secondly, in order to keep food hygienically while carry goods from one to other places. Thus, people usually use some wrappers, containers or plastic grocery bag to cover them at least one layer of covering and some can actually have two or maybe more.

Undoubtedly, Consumers do not need the carrier after the product has been opened and immediately discard it. Almost packing are made from plastic or its derivatives, which is disposable.

As you have known, plastic does not decompose, even it could remain in landfill site through many years. Rubbish often gather around waterways, end up in rivers. The most detrimental effect of this phenomenon is almost underwater creatures could die from water pollution. Besides, there can still be disastrous consequences for human. A water crisis will happen if we do not have effective methods to address this problem. Even when refuse that could decompose, like paper or container also arise from devastating effects for the environment. One good illustrate here is that deforestation, this can lead to loss of habitat of wildlife.

In conclusion, environmental pollution results from useless wrapping. Strict action should be taken against excess packaging so as to look after the Earth for our children.
