Unlimited vs open-ended

hi.
can i use 'unlimited' instead of 'open-ended' in the following sentence?

"the best questions are usually open-ended and are often silly."

I think it's not a good choice to use "open-ended' in this sentence.Because it could be confusing.

I think open-ended is better. An open-ended question has many answers and many of them can be accepted. "Unlimited questions" is about quantity of answer.

an unlimited question is not a natural phrase, and to me does not have a clear meaning.

unlimited questions sounds like it means many, many, many questions.
