Unless mentioned otherwise / If something ....

Do the following sentences deserve same meaning prettily?

1. Unless mentioned otherwise, we will assume that you would be comfortable sharing your contact information with the rest of the participants.

2. If something different is not mentioned, we will assume that you would be comfortable sharing your contact with the rest of the participants. (Rephrase version of former's)

In addition, Does "otherwise" as adverb mean "differently" e.g. I have yet to think of you otherwise/differently?
