Unknown Phrase?

I read this in Jeffrey Archer's novel "False Impression" and couldn't follow up. Please care to explain

Jack says:

'No. That was my adolescent period, since then I've entered my modern period, and only fall for women whose breasts end up behind their ears.'

I couldn't get the meaning of the last line.

Me, neither. That's some pretty bad writing. Forget it. Far from being any sort of fixed expression, it is not understandable. If I had to guess, I'd guess that he failed to convey the idea that a woman could have that many facelifts.
