Universities should accept equal numbers of male and female students in every subject. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Some people believe that universities have to have fair percentages between men and women in every subject. Personally, I partly agree with this statement.

Each gender has the right to choose their favorite subject because they have to charge the same taxes for each degree course. Moreover, this also enhances the learning result for each student. Nowadays, male or females have a competitive tendency towards other sex rather than between male and female or between female and female. Therefore, this competition will help each student have the motivation to try their best to have a better point.

However, having the same figures of boys and girls on all degree courses is impossible. Each student has a different ability from others. If each university decided to fill courses with equal numbers of men and women, it would need enough applicants of each gender. This will dwindle the learning process. For example, male tend to become doctors in the future rather than females. Nevertheless, women tend to become secretaries in the future rather than men. So we are not likely to force them to choose the subject which they do not like to have unbiased percentages in every subject.

To conclude, having the same rates on each gender in every subject have both positive and negative aspects. Therefore, each university should consider carefully before having equal proportions on both genders in every subject.
