Unidentified/ unnamed

Hi,

One lucky Italian scooped Europe's biggest lottery last night, winning €147m (£128m). The unidentified punter bought the €2 ticket in a bar in the small town of Bagnone, Tuscany.

Can I change "unidentified" to "unnamed"?

Is there any difference between the two?

Thanks in advance

Hi, unidentified - Perhaps the Lottery officials do not yet know his name. Or perhaps they know it, but they have not yet told it to the the press. unnamed - Sounds a bit more like they know it but have not yet told the press.
