Ungrammtical sentence?

Hi~ the sentence underlined seems ungrammatical and confusing in meaning to me. Is it correct in grammar?

Should an expression "of" or "relating to" be needed between "warning" and "why"?

Any comments will be welcomed.

The conclusion was that obesity was not only the function of
genetic predisposition but could be impacted by environment and behavior.
Likewise, persistent short-term shifts in dietary practices could dramatically
alter brain function to the point of promoting emotional
disorders. This is a stark warning why starvation diets are not only ineffective
but also dangerous to long-term eating practices.
