Unfortunately for me...

Hello!

I have got a question. Would you please answer it? Is it OK to use ''for'' after the word unfortunately in the following sentence?

It was a sunny day so I decided to bunk off school. Unfortunately for me, my mother told me off for what I did when she came home.
