Unfolding

Hi friends,

Let's say I want to describe an epistolary work in this manner:

The plot unfolds in/through a sequence of twenty letters. (in or through, whichever is right)

Is it fine to put it that way?

Thank you.

Cheers,
Xander

It sounds alright to me. I would prefer 'through' as this suggests sequence more than 'in', and that is probably what you are looking for to match the verb 'unfolds'.
