Understanding the meaning of "pick"

Dear all,

I'm not sure I understand the meaning of "pick" in the following context (from an agreement):

Supplier shall mark the Consigned Goods delivery notes with "For CONSIGNMENT WAREHOUSE only" as well as deliver and label the Consigned Goods in accordance with the applicable X packaging and delivery specifications, if any. In case of non-compliance, X or a third party contracted by X shall be entitled to repack, pick and/or re-label the Consigned Goods at the cost of the Supplier.

Does it mean something like: to pick up the goods (from the place where they've been wrongly delivered)?

I'm not sure. It could have the meaning of sort through.

Maybe, it refers to transportation cost of the goods

Thank you. Elanguest, could you give a short definition for "sort through"? Does it mean "arrange" or "classify"?

I think that 'pick' means 'choose from among', i.e., the units that they consider most suitable. It is a rather odd word to use, though.

Yes, I'd go with Mr. Micawber's explanation.

In a company I worked for, the warehouse had "pickers" and "packers." The pickers got the items off the massive shelves, the packers prepared them for shipment. If someone's order had 16 different things, the picker would travel through the warehouse and make 16 stops to pick each item up.
