Understanding of the words surmise and surge, and a distinction of meaning of "some"?
Can someone tell me how do you distinguish between the 2 meanings of the "same"? Well one of them means "a large number or amount of sth (E.g. it was some surprise that i heard the news.)" and as for the other paradox meaning "a small amount or number of sth (E.g. there is some hope that things will improve)". So how do you know when to use which one?
Does "surge" mean "a strong push"? Does "surmise" mean "an assumption"?
