Understanding for this sentence???

Please look at the following sentence.

"While still feeling somewhat uncertain about how committed she was to being a student, she felt she couldn't go wrong by continuing to sit toward front"

[Q1] I couldn't understand the meaning of "how committed she was to being a student". I assume it is " how it is said that she could be a student".
Could you tell me the meaning of the clause, especially for a meaning of "how committed"

[Q2] I couldn't understand the meaning of "she felt she couldn't go wrong" either. Does it mean nobody couldn't catch her. ( I feel she is a bogus student but is going to the school, but I'm not sure. I've just taken only the sentence above).

Thank you in advance for your teaching
