I have recently taken on teaching a bank lawyer who needs to understand contracts in English. Although I have a degree in law, I find the task quite daunting and some of the language very difficult to understand, let alone explain especially since there are a lot of financial terms.
My books for teaching English have a lot about what constitutes a contract but nothing about reading the clauses of a contract.
I would be very grateful if anyone could recommend books or websites that will give me a crash course in understanding contracts, types of contracts and things such as "due diligence" "mandate letter" "certificate of indebtedness" etc..
