Underneath and beneath

Hi

Could you please tell me which of these sentences are natural?

[Sometimes this plural-singular combination creates an awkward situation; I mean students+vests+shirts or the way I have put it.]

All students must wear a vest underneath their shirt.
All students must wear a vest under their shirt.
All students must wear a vest inside their shirt.

Thanks,

Tom

#1 and #2 are okay; I wouldn't use #3.

Thanks, teecher.

Would it work with beneath?

All students must wear a vest beneath their shirt.

It's okay, I suppose, but I would prefer the two above.
