Grammar

Underlined parts - okay?

Hello!

Please take look at the sentence below! Are the underlined parts grammatical?

The visit report submitted during the meeting corroborates that the child, Jimmy S., feels good and is happy in the new family and wishes to be adopted; he has gotten used to his new place of residence and family, and the adopters provide him with everything that is necessary.

Thank you!

Because there are two "and's" in the first underlined part, it might be criticized grammatically. If I understand the meaning, Jimmy S. feels good (in the new family) and is happy (in the new family) - so they are clearly related - and (he) wishes to be adopted - is a separate thought.

  • Because there are two "and's" in the first underlined part, it might be criticized grammatically.
  • If I understand the meaning, Jimmy S.
  • feels good (in the new family) and is happy (in the new family) - so they are clearly related - and (he) wishes to be adopted - is a separate thought.
  • In that case, I might separate the first pair with a comma from the final thought.
  • "feels good and is happy in the new family, and he wishes to be adopted;" The word "gotten" is understood but not the best grammar.

I would use the word "visitation" in this context rather than just "visit", and reword it as follows based on my understanding of the context:

The [submitted ] visitation report concerning the meeting with the case child, Jimmy S. seemed to
