UNDERBUDGETED FOR TIME

How would you express the following sentence?

1 I know you underbudgeted for time, you say we need to leave at 4pm that way you know for sure we won't leave passsed 4h30pm. You always do that so as never to be late.

Thank you

Hey Alc24! You won't hear anyone using underbudgeted that way to refer to a lack of available time, but rather you will hear that someone is short on time or more simply doesn't have much time. Underbudgeted most often refers to a financial budget (alloted monies).

  • If I correctly understand what your sentence is trying to say I would write it as follows: I know you're short on time so to make sure we're not late we need to leave at 4pm, that way we certainly will have left by 4:30pm.
  • I hope that helps!

Hello Chris,

Thank you for the response,

but that's not what I'm trying to say, here is what I'm trying to say

Person X always stresses person Y out because person Y for some reason can never get somewhere on time, so what person X does is she tells person Y they have to be somewhere at 4 pm when in reality it's 4h30 because she knows that person Y is always going to be
