UNDER THE SUN

Dear Teachers,

1. Don't be offended by their initial reaction, they will probably call you irresponsible and every other name under the sun. Give them time to come to terms with it.

- What do "under the sun" and "come to terms with it" mean here?

Thanks very much to Teachers,

Stevenukd.

'every other name under the sun' here means 'all the possible names they could call you'. A more common use of this expression is 'everything under the sun'.

Example:- We chatted endlessly about everything under the sun.

'to come to terms with' - to learn to accept/to learn to deal with a difficult situation/circumstance/something unpleasant.
