under surveillance/examination/scrutiny/careful watch

The chief suspect has been placed under surveilance/examination/scrutiny/careful watch, so I'm sure we will solve this case soon.

Do all of the bolded words fit in the above sample and mean about the same? Thanks.

Only surveillance collocates well in this sentence. Careful watch is also reasonable, but the other two are not. Scrutiny and examination are done, for instance, sitting at a table with a microscope.
