"undeliberately" ??

Hello,
Is there such a word as "undeliberately"? Or is it simply 'deliberately' meaning 'intentionally' with 'unintentionally' as the opposite?

[nq:1]Hello, Is there such a word as "undeliberately"? [/nq] "Deliberately" is often used as an exact synonym of "intentionally," but it should carry some sense of "with deliberation," that is, forethought, rather than just intention which can be instantaneous. And of course "undeliberately" isn't a word yet ( pace 1250 Google hits) nor does it seem likely to become one.

I've never met "undeliberately"; but "undeliberate" does appear a few times in English literature. Remember that "un-" is "productive": that means we are still using it to make new words which may not yet be in the dictionaries.

Inadvertently. It means unintentional, but carries the connotation of not paying attention, which makes it a good antonym for 'deliberately', which has the connotation of deliberation.

Strange how we read things. You and others have looked at "undeliberately" as meaning by accident or unintentional. I looked at it as "not slowly" or without deliberation. Ugly in any case, though.

I'll try it though:
At Christmas, his sister opened each present with care not to tear the wrapping. She neatly folded the wrapping paper and kept the bows. He opened his most undeliberatel

I'm with you in this case. 'When Coop's right he's right.'
