Uncountable/Countable Nouns

Hi folks,

I have been studying about uncountable and countable nouns. I would appreciate your help to see if I understand this area of grammar or not. Thanks for any help. Are the below correct?

1. Many people died from disease and starvation. uncountable

2. The walls were made of glass. uncountable

3. My favourite ballet is Swan Lake. uncountable

4. The building was destroyed by fire. uncountable

5. The chicken flew into our garden. countable


6.Use a cloth to clean up the water. countable

7. Her speech is affected by the illness. countable

8. I really should take more exercise. uncountable

I see. So for eg a loaf of bread. Bread is an uncountable noun being counted by a counter. There are some unusual examples below which I read about on the net.
