No, all are countable nouns. But 'people' is already the (irregular) plural of 'person':

One animal, two animals
One thing, two things

One person, two people
One child, two children
etc.

People- singular and plural are same like sheep-sheep.

Peoples-- means "nation".

Anyway wait for other comments.

Tom, I have no idea what "alit" and "alight " have to do with this topic, but I can assure you that while we say "one sheep is in the pen, two sheep are in the pen" no one - not even British speakers - say "one people is in the room, two people are in the room."

People and sheep do NOT work the same was as singular and plural.I don't want to argue either, but I don't want other people re

I have no Intentions to confuse or hurt anybody. I was just trying to say how I was treated in this very same forum.That person who answered me should have searched an oxford dictionary too before answering. I feel so, and I think many are using American English in this forum and to be frank I'm not used to it though we have a paper American Literature in our Master'
