What rules in English grammar are you aware of that there's no exceptional case to break them? For instance, I state two of them:
1- The verb after prepositions comes in gerund-participle form, essentially always.
2- After modal verbs, we have a bare infinitive, essentially always.
If you have any other rule in English grammar to add to the list, please tender it.
If you contradict my perspectives regarding the above two rules, please offer some examples that break them. Please be as certain as possible.
I want to add another rule to the list: 3- There is no set of consecutive auxiliary verbs where there's a modal verb right after a non-modal auxiliary verb.
