It's not acknowledged in Cambridge. Obviously it means "take off the blindfold". I have no idea as to a proper use.

I've never heard it used. You would need to "remove the blindfold."

But I wonder if blindfold is even the right word? We sometimes say "have blinders on" and "remove the blinders" to describe how someone deliberately ignores facts to keep his or her own happy view of the world. Horses who have to drive a cart on a road with cars will wear blinders so they can't see them and get
