Unaffected/uneffected

Hi, I'm writing a bloody, horror story.

The sentence:

"He stared down at her lifeless body, completely unaffected."

Is unaffected correct? I've just read a lot about affect versus effect that made me really confused.

English is not my first language, so bear with me.
