Unable or disable

Hi, I'm Eduardo form Peru. This is the second time I send a message, the different is that I'm logged in now, I'm a user.

Well, my doubt now is about preffixes...

What's the difference between unable and disable?

Is there any diferrence between preffixes un- and dis-? unarm, disarm?

Thanx, keep in touch

"unable" is an adjective meaning "not able to".

"disable" is a verb, meaning to "cancel functionality".

in some cases "un-" can be found as a prefix in verbs, but only in specific ones (and this is not the case with "unable"..it is "enable"<-->"disable") and those I'm afraid you will just have to learn. same go with "dis".

"unarm" basically means the same as "disar
