unabidingness of the moment

Please, how does it sound? unabidingness of the moment...To me unnatural but maybe it is fine, that is what I would like to verify here. I am looking for a term, one of the characteristics of Impressionism. Please, what is commonly used in the anglophone world to express this impermanency?

Many thanks L.

I agree it's not natural. How about the transitional nature, or the transient nature? Can you give the entire sentence?

the sentence is in my head. but what I want to say is that the moment is passing but the impression after stays longer. Like as we can see on the pictures. Sunrises for example just a moment but the impression stays longer. in czech we say what I translated word by word but I feel it is not apropriate. transitional nature I think it works for my case. thanks GG

A moment can be "fleeting" too.

Good luck - sounds like an interesting piece you are translating.

Yes, that is what I was running for ..., fleeting moment. And may I ask, is it possible to change fleeting to a noun? Like fleetness of a moment?

thanks a lot for a help!!!

Hi,

You might also like to look at the word 'ephemeral'. It's a rather pretty word, I think.Emotion: smile

That is a pretty word. For some reason, I always associate it with beauty. And for some other reason, it makes me think of shy magical creatures.
