Un familiar line?

Hi,

I'd like to ask for the meaning of a phrase "un familiar line" as in "She reassured me with an unfamiliar line" in an old song called "Summer wine", originally sung by Suzi Jane Hokom and Lee Hazlewood.

But what does that mean here, "original comment"? I'm still not quite sure I can make out the meaning of this sentence.
