'scared me out' by itself is not used.

You have a few choices, actually. I wouldn't let me kids say "scared the **** out of me" because "****" isn't a nice word (though it is MUCH more acceptable than what it stands for).

You scared the [snot, ****, s**t, bejeezus, ****] out of me.
