typical or typically

I saw "typically American hospitality" as a sample phrase in the entry of typically. but I think I prefer "typical Amecian hospitaligy".

My questions are:

Both are correct? If yes, which one do you prefer. (If no, why)

Thanks in advance!

I don't really find that "typically American hospitality" works very well. "Typically American" means that it is exactly what you would expect of an American . Perhaps the person who wrote it doesn't think Americans are very hospitable at all, so it's being used ironcially.
