Typical of vs typical for

Hello

I read some posts (here, http://forum.wordreference.com/showthread.php?t=383070 and here) about the difference between "typical of" and "typical for", but somehow I can't quite decide which one should be used in following sentence.

Wearing uniforms is typical of/for high school students.

Which one would you use?

Thanks for your help
