Hi! So, as we all know, there are three types of irony: Situational, verbal, and dramatic. I have taken a quiz online, and one question really got me confused:
"Boxing is called a noble sport, yet the people who do it are aggressive violent thugs."
According to that quiz, the sentence above is an example of verbal irony, which I didn't understand. Isn't it better to assume it's an example of situational irony rather than verbal?
Please explain, I really do need an answer. Thanks in advance.
