Types of Computer VS. Parts of a Computer

Hi,

In Basic English for Computing (By Glendinning and McEwan, Oxford Press), the second chapter and thrid chapter read as follows:

1. Types of Computer

2. Parts of a Computer

My question is why "a" is in 2 but not in 1?
Or is it equally possible to use bothe structures interchangably?
Thanks..
