Types of clauses wit issue of subordinate clauses containing a finite verb

Would you mind helping me with the following sentences?
1)They took me back to the warehouse, where Mrs Ormonde insisted on giving me a bed in Will’s room. ( complex sentence)
Has one main clause and only subordinate clause using a relative adverb to introduce a relative clause.
2) Ben rubbed a cool salve into my shoulder. (simple sentence-one clause)
Has one finite verb, the simple past-rubbed.
3c)He reminded me of Matthew, except there was a sense of order in the herbal cures he carried in a battered leather satchel. (Compound sentence)
Has two main clauses.

4)Luke watched, sitting on the end of the bed. (Complex sentence)
It is clearly an elliptical clause.

It is an elliptical clause.
