Type one conditionals

One thing that kind of bothers me are type one conditionals.

For example: A: "If you don't hurry, you will miss the train!"

Just by this sentence, if the person does hurry, does person A say that the person will make it 100%, or is there still a chance to miss the train?

Top answer

if the person does hurry, does person A say that the person will make it 100% No. It is certain that if they do not hurry, they will miss the train. There is no guarantee that if they do hurry, it will be sufficient to catch the train.
