Accurate? How would we know? Was he really born in Germany, for example? If he was really born in Germany, then it is accurate to say "He was born in Germany".

But how can he hail originally from Austria when he was born in Germany? There is no earlier time he could hail from anywhere than the day he was born.

They are correct, however.
