"two weeks later" or "two weeks from now"

Hi,
Would you please tell me which phrase is better?
Situation: When you are talking with someone and explain about your plan

"I will go to Tokyo two weeks later."
"I will go to Tokyo two weeks from now."

Situation: When you are talking with someone and explain about your plan

"I will go to Tokyo two weeks later." Not correct.
"I will go to Tokyo two weeks from now." Correct.

Welcome to the forums!

The second one has a very clear meaning, If that's what you mean, that's what you should say.
The fiirst one can have a different meaning, for example 'two weeks later than initially planned'.
